Photographs  Deputy Director of the Executive Branch, Pat Reed informs the delegates about the rolls of the Governor and Lt. Governor.  Elaine Hoover, the Senate Advisor, informs the delegates about the responsibilities of becoming a member the Senate and the House of Representatives.  Members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol present their program at a workshop.  County Government is a vital part of our process, the Deputy Director of County Government informs the delegates on the duties of the county elected officials.  Dr. Peter Schramm, Professor of Political Science at AU and Executive Director of the Ashbrook Center, takes the opportunity to tell the delegates about the seminar being offered to them this week. The course is "Principles and Practices of Freedom in American Politics."  Learning about campaign platform formation is an important part of the election process. Ashland County Commissioner Mathew Miller's presentation is always filled to capacity.  In order to become a judge or attorney, delegates must take and pass the bar exam. The exam is an open book test.  The delegates work to see what branch of government they want to be a part of for the week.  Delegates take a break between the workshops.  Awaiting the next workshop, delegates become acquainted and form friendships.  Firemen Bill Davidsson of the Ashland Fire Department hands out the exam to the hopeful city fire chiefs.  BGS also has a band and chorus. Delegates bring instruments from home to be a part of the band.  Delegates arrive at the Nationalist State Party Caucus in order to elect the party chairman.  Delegates wanting to bring their talent and commitment to their party, seek endorsement and ultimately election as their party chairman.
